Obsessed with this ring set! The moss agate stones are even prettier in person.
Perfectly sized (got my usual 6) and so comfortable for daily wear. The leafy details are delicate but sturdy. Very fast shipping, and boxing is beautiful.

My fiancé proposed with this stunning ring on a romantic WV getaway in the mountains and it is absolutely GORGEOUS. Photos do not do it justice. The clarity of the moss agate stone is perfect and I love the accent of the stone that he customized and added to the wedding band! I love this ring so much! Thank you for creating such unique pieces for girls like me that prefer the non- traditional route!

It was absolutely stunning!!!! It was actually larger than I had expected, but I don’t think she minded at all, she said yes, and we’re planning our wedding for 2025, super super happy

Ring came quickly and is even more beautiful that expected.
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They have the same fundamental chemical composition, crystal structure, and optical properties as natural diamonds. The primary difference is their origin: natural diamonds form beneath the earth over millions or billions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled laboratory environments using advanced diamond-growth technology.
Like natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds can be cut into the same shapes and evaluated according to the traditional 4Cs—cut, color, clarity, and carat weight.
For customers choosing an engagement ring, the most important considerations are often the diamond’s cut quality, proportions, appearance, and how well it complements the setting.
What is the difference between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond?
The main difference is how the diamond is formed.
A natural diamond develops naturally within the earth over an extremely long period of time. A lab-grown diamond is created in a controlled environment using technology that replicates the conditions necessary for diamond growth.
Once polished, both are genuine diamonds with comparable physical, chemical, and optical properties. A lab-grown diamond is not the same material as a diamond simulant such as moissanite or cubic zirconia.
The choice between lab-grown and natural diamond ultimately comes down to personal preferences, budget, and what matters most to you when selecting your ring.
Will a lab-grown diamond sparkle like a natural diamond?
Yes. A well-cut lab-grown diamond can display the same type of brilliance, fire, and scintillation as a well-cut natural diamond.
The diamond’s visual performance is influenced heavily by its cut, proportions, symmetry, and polish—not simply by whether it was grown in a laboratory or formed naturally.
This is why two diamonds with similar carat weight and grading information can still look noticeably different. When selecting a center stone, it is important to consider both the grading information and the diamond’s actual visual appearance.
How do I choose the right carat size for my engagement ring?
Carat weight refers to the weight of the diamond, not its physical dimensions.
The apparent size of a diamond depends on several factors, including its shape, proportions, depth, and cut. Therefore, two diamonds with the same carat weight can have different millimeter dimensions and can look different when set in a ring.
For example, an oval, marquise, pear, emerald, or elongated radiant diamond can each have a very different visual presence even when they have similar carat weights.
When choosing a center stone, we recommend considering these three specifications together:
- Carat weight
- Millimeter dimensions
- Diamond shape and proportions
This is especially important for custom engagement rings, where the center stone needs to work harmoniously with the proportions of the setting.
Can I customize the shape or cut of the lab-grown diamond?
Yes. Depending on the ring design and the setting structure, we can explore different center-stone shapes for a custom ring.
Common requests include:
- Oval
- Pear
- Marquise
- Emerald
- Radiant
- Cushion
- Elongated Hexagon
- Kite
If you love a particular ring design but would prefer a different center-stone shape, simply let us know. Our design team can evaluate the proportions and create the setting around the selected diamond.
For customer-supplied diamonds, we can also create the ring setting based on the stone’s exact dimensions and specifications.
What quality parameters should I look for when choosing a lab-grown diamond?
The traditional 4Cs remain an important starting point:
Cut — affects how efficiently the diamond reflects and returns light.
Color — describes the diamond’s body color.
Clarity — describes internal and external characteristics.
Carat — refers to the diamond’s weight.
For example, you can focus on color grades D–F, clarity grades VS/VVS, or specific carat weights.
However, a grading report should not be viewed in isolation. Two diamonds with similar specifications can have different visual performance because of their proportions, cut quality, and overall balance.
For this reason, when selecting a center stone for a custom ring, we recommend considering both the diamond’s documented specifications and its actual appearance.
Do lab-grown diamonds come with a certificate?
Certification or grading documentation depends on the specific diamond selected and the applicable stone specifications.
A professional grading report provides important information such as the diamond’s carat weight, color, clarity, measurements, and other identifying characteristics. Independent gemological laboratories use standardized grading criteria to evaluate these characteristics.
For higher-value center stones, customers can request the applicable diamond certificate for review. At Felicegals, we can also provide the selected diamond’s certificate for customer confirmation when applicable before production begins.
This allows you to review the diamond information and confirm that you are comfortable with your selected stone before we move forward with production.
If I upgrade the center stone to a lab-grown diamond, will the accent stones also become lab-grown diamonds?
In many custom configurations, yes.
If you would like the entire ring to feature lab-grown diamonds, we can coordinate the center stone and accent stones accordingly, depending on the specific design.
For example, if a customer chooses a lab-grown diamond as the center stone and wants an “all lab-grown diamond” ring, the accent diamonds can also be selected as lab-grown diamonds.
This creates a more consistent diamond look throughout the entire ring.
When requesting a customization, simply let us know whether you would like:
- Lab-grown diamond center + lab-grown diamond accents
- Lab-grown diamond center + other gemstone accents
- Lab-grown diamond center + existing accent-stone configuration
Our team can then confirm the available options and pricing.
Can I see and select the lab-grown diamond before my ring is made?
Yes. For applicable custom orders, our gemstone team can prepare suitable center-stone options based on your requested specifications, such as:
Carat weight
Shape
Color
Clarity
Dimensions
Budget
Desired visual appearance
We can provide available stone information and images for your review and selection before production.
Is a lab-grown diamond durable enough for an engagement ring?
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds have the same fundamental crystal structure and hardness as natural diamonds and are suitable for everyday jewelry, including engagement rings.
However, the durability of an engagement ring depends on more than the diamond itself. The design of the setting, prongs, gallery, stone proportions, and everyday wear habits also matter.
We recommend removing your ring when doing activities that may expose it to strong impact, harsh chemicals, or unnecessary stress, and having the setting inspected periodically to ensure the stones remain secure.
With appropriate care and a well-engineered setting, a lab-grown diamond engagement ring can be enjoyed for many years.
